Rack Safety Awareness Training
Here at DC Space and Storage Solutions, we now offer a one day, regionally operated, Rack Safety Awareness Course. This course is certified by RoSPA and you will achieve a certification upon your passing the course.
This is a fantastic opportunity for your company’s PRRS (Person Responsible for Racking Safety), or anyone else involved in warehouse management and inspection, and will greatly benefit your warehouse safety and general efficiency, by maintaining your racking and catching damage before it has an opportunity to hinder your operations.
The RoSPA approved DC Space and Storage Solutions Rack Safety Awareness and Inspection Course aims to give all candidates a competent understanding of Pallet Racking Systems, their components, safety requirements, effective use, and the legislation that guides their use.

This course will give candidates the knowledge required to initiate and record regular inspections in their workplace.
Objectives:

Identify damage to racking components and know how to record and classify these

Conduct and record regular inspections, fulfilling SEMA & HSE legal requirements and recommendations

Understand the risk classifications and load notices that must be displayed with Pallet Racking, and the consequences of not following these
The course will cover the responsibilities of the supplier and end user and the legalities that surround racking inspection and the consequences of not following them correctly.
It will explain the different types of pallet racking and their damage tolerances as well as SEMA classifications for these.
It will cover the who, what, and why, of racking inspections, as well as methods of reporting your findings.
It will also contain exercises in order to consolidate your learning.
